At Garbagna

Sunday 15th April

This is a delightful area and we are enjoying this very rustic site.  We were not alone overnight - a Dutch motorhome arrived around 9.30 pm and this morning they manoevered their towed caravan further into the site causing a bit of a drama getting stuck in mud going up onto the slightly higher terrace.  Our owner chap (never without his fag) sorted them out and they set up the caravan for the summer.  After a lazy morning, we set off up into the hills for a walk our chap had suggested.

Looking back down to our campsite
Zoomed in to spot our van near bottom of picture

It's been rather cloudy all day today, so not the brightest of photos, but we reached what seemed like the top of the world, to eat our lunch beside an old stone church.

We could have continued to the next village, but it meant a lot more uphill, so we just admired the views and came down the same way.

A jigsaw almost finished and Remoska'd chicken casserole ready to serve up:

Our evening walk took us downhill into the little town of Garbagna.  The eagle-eyed will spot that the clock on the piazza church is more than half an hour faster than the one at the second church.  We were there at 7.30!
